The Yorkton Tribal Council Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking four energetic and enthusiastic individuals to fill the position of Wellness Coordinator located in the City of Yorkton. Under the direct Supervision of the Family Support Manager; The Wellness Coordinator will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide family support to parents, children and youth who are Members of the Yellow Thunderbird Lodge. The Wellness Coordinator will provide a holistic approach to the wellness of the child, the family, and the community that is based on First Nations culture, traditions and practices, the guidance and involvement of Knowledge Keepers, and Member First Nation. This position will assist individuals who are Members of the Yellow Thunderbird Lodge; by providing pre and post addiction support to individuals who require support to access addictions services; after care support and transition home from Healing lodges and Safe Homes to support the reunification of children to their parents care.
QUALIFICATIONS: Addictions Diploma and experience working with individuals in Recovery. Human Services related education and experience. Social Work Degree or Social Work Certification an asset. Child Protection experience an asset.
