The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is a treasury board crown responsible for emergency communications including Sask911 and SaskAlert, wildfire management, emergency management and fire safety. This centralized agency ensures a single point of contact for communities, greater co-ordination of provincial resources and contributes to safer communities in our province.
The SPSA is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated, service-oriented, respectful, open-minded and attentive individual to fill the less than 9-month term position of Contract & Procurement Administrator within the Corporate Services Financial Operations, Contract and Procurement Unit, based out of Regina.
The candidate of choice will be able to develop and undertake strategic procurement practices including business analysis and long-range planning to ensure the timely supply of goods and/or services for this Treasury Board Crown. This includes establishing and maintaining various types of business agreements including contracts, MOUs, reciprocal agreements with various stakeholders including government, NGOs and emergency services providers that establish relationships between government and non-government entities and the SPSA, as well as all wildfire and emergency management reciprocal resource agreements. The successful candidate will be a trusted leader with extensive knowledge of government contracts and procurement polices/procedures and a comprehensive understanding of how to develop procurement tools and services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clear direction to clients and staff, including developing and delivering training modules, information databases and SharePoint workflows pertinent to services delivered by the Unit.
