Nature of Business
New Food Classics (NFC) initially started as a branch of Centennial Food Services, a 38 year old Canadian company. Currently it is under its own company name and has 2 sister plants based in Calgary. The facility in Saskatoon is a state of the art burger processing plant. NFC provides finished product to a number of large customers throughout Canada and has recently expanded to the US.

Health and dental coverage for permanent employees is provided as is safety equipment except for steel toed boots where a cost of $75.00 will be reimbursed. Types of Jobs/Work
New food Classics is currently hiring in the area of
Packaging, with salaries ranging from $9.00-$11.76/hr. Packaging is assembly line meat packaging. Employees need to be able to stand for the entire shift of 9 hours and be able to lift 26 pounds. There are different product lines running at the same time so there is some variation in the work.
Work is shift work Monday to Friday with every second Friday off. The plant is operational from 5:15 AM to 2:00 AM.
In order to maintain the integrity of the product the production area of the plant is set at a temperature of approximately 3 degrees Celsius.
