George Weston Limited is a Canadian public company founded in 1882 and through its operating subsidiaries constitutes one of North America's largest food processing and distribution groups. Regina's 3 food processing plants produce, sell and distribute fresh and frozen baked goods under a variety of brand names including Wonder, D'Italiano, Country Harvest and Casa Mendosa. We are also a major producer and supplier of frozen baked goods which are baked and sold through a number of in store bakeries across the city and throughout Canada and the US.

Types of Jobs/Work

There are four general categories of hiring:

Production - These employees are responsible from the mixing of ingredients, baking, packing and more. Though certain positions require more training, traditionally we like to ensure rotation so that you can gain experience and enjoy the variety of working the production department. Mixing operators maybe required to life up to 50 pounds regularly. Other functions have less weight demands and are repetitive. With our team environment and rotation schedules, production staff enjoys the variety in day!

Sanitation - Ensuring a clean and sanitary facility is absolutely essential. Product quality and safety is a priority. Staff in sanitation not only ensure that the facility is clean from customer visits and employee usage, but from all the high speed manufacturing that takes place throughout each day. We look for people that have personal desire to keeps things clean!

Shipping - Now that the product is made we have to get it out to our customers! Our shippers follow order lists, pick orders and ensure they are sent to the right locations. You must be able to manage loads above six feet using hand carts, operate a hand jack, and where required, operate a fork lift. Training is provided in most cases.

Maintenance - Are you ticketed? Not ticketed? We are looking for electricians, millwrights and refrigeration technicians to work on our variety of equipment.
