Nature of Business
Princess Auto is a Canadian Retailer. Through our stores, coast to coast Mail Order Service and Manufacturing Division, we market unique comprehensive lines of quality hard goods at competitive prices. Our customers are hands on users in rural, industrial and urban markets.

Year Established
Princess Auto Wrecking was purchased in 1942 by Mr. Harvey Tallman. He traded his truck for the business which sold parts from stripped cars to local garages. At the end of World War II, we started providing our customers with army surplus items and using them ourselves to build our first manufactured products. Our first catalogue was published in 1951. By the mid 60's we had grown into a nation-wide mail order operation. In 1981, Princess Auto Ltd. was passed from Mr. Harvey Tallman to his sons, Larry and Bob. Responding to a market shift from mail order to retail, our first retail store was opened in Edmonton in 1977. The Saskatoon store was established in 1978.
