Description

Under the supervision of the Director Of Programs, Program Manager & Program Supervisor, the Program Leaders will act as a positive role model and lead a variety of programs and activities for youth 5-14 years of age.

Duties and Responsibilities:
    To lead and implement Summer Adventure Day Camp programs and activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, health and nutrition, physical activity and fitness, youth leadership and empowerment, and education programs.
    To supervise, mentor and develop youth in a safe, caring environment at all times while promoting positive youth experiences and discussions, capitalizing on teachable moments and opportunities
    To explain principles, techniques and safety procedures to youth, while demonstrating proper use of materials and equipment.
    To assist in providing support and supervision for program volunteers.
    To complete and maintain attendance forms and inventory lists, including daily program data and information.
    To perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the facility and program equipment as required.
    Other assigned duties as required by the Director of Programs and/or Program Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Must be a team player
    Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    Must be able to work without close supervision
    Programming experience, education or training an asset

Qualifications:
    Current Standard First Aid/CPR C  is an asset
    Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
