Summer Student JobPOSITION SUMMARY
The Fitness Consultant is responsible for demonstrating exemplary customer service skills and has a passion for fitness. This position requires the candidate help create a warm and welcoming environment for our members and patrons. This is an ideal position for a person on a pathway for a career as a personal trainer and/or interested in developing a career in recreation and sport management.
POSITION REPORTING: Director of Fitness and Facilities, YWCA Fitness On 25th
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week for 9 12 weeks
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervision and Host of the YWCA Fitness Center
2. Monitor/Maintain Equipment ensuring a physically safe environment
3. Support our Customer Service Advisor Team

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be a student as this position is part of the Canada Summer Jobs Grant
Proof of Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C must be provided
A current Criminal Record Check is a requirement of the position
Desired post-secondary education is Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with at least a minimum of one year of post-secondary education completed
Customer Service and/or Sales Experience is an asset
