Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer (Intermediate) to join our team in Saskatoon. You are experienced in leading studies, doing reports and assessments, and doing preliminary and detailed design. In this role, you will be preparing specifications, developing cost estimates, and completing the inspection on mechanical systems.  You will also be involved in the design and preparation of tender documents for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, piping, and material handling systems.

Reporting to the Manager of the Mechanical & Hydraulic Modelling Group, you will be joining a dynamic, high-performance team working on industrial, commercial, and municipal buildings, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and piping and conveying systems.  

What you will bring:
    Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution
    Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGS  
    Minimum 5 years of relevant experience  
    Experience on industrial, commercial, institutional, and municipal projects
    Experience in the preparation of proposals, project plans, and estimates
    Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, such as the National Plumbing Code, ASHRAE, and NFPA Standards
    Excellent oral communication skills
    Excellent written communication skills
    Excellent organizational skills
    Committed team player
    Highly self-motivated
    Experience conducting field inspections and/or working with contractors is an asset
    Experience in construction, start-up, and commissioning of mechanical systems is an asset
    Familiarity with sustainable design practises and LEED accreditation is an asset
    Knowledge of electrical and structural systems is an asset
    Valid Class 5 Drivers License
    Ability to travel within Saskatchewan
