POSITION: Delivery Truck Driver (full time)
LOCATION: Emerald Park, SK
Home Hardware is looking for an outgoing, self-motivated and dedicated Delivery Truck Driver.
This position requires the delivery of lumber and building materials to customers in a professional, safe and timely manner. It includes loading and unloading of trucks in a busy retail lumberyard environment which includes heavy and repetitive lifting on a regular basis.
Position Responsibilities:
    Prepare customer orders, picking products, securing on the skid and banding and wrapping according to the weather and loading conditions.
    Prepare vehicles for delivery. Verify that all products are securely loaded and protected from the elements and that all accompanying paperwork is available.
    Operate vehicles to transport material to private homes and construction sites. Park vehicles in designated areas and obtain proper signatures once unloaded.  
    Follow safe operating procedures. Advise supervisor of potential hazards. Accountable for working safely and ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety policies and legislation.
    Maintain professional composure at all time.

Requirements:
    1-2 or more years experience operating heavy equipment and/or large trucks.
    Clean drivers abstract.
    Must have air endorsement.
    Preference given to applicants holding a valid class 1a license.
    Ability to lift and move large quantities of building materials.
    Sound judgement and communications skills.
    Must have good knowledge of the layout of the city and surrounding areas.
    Excellent time management skills.
    Capacity to work independently and seek out assistance as required.
    Knowledge of lumber and building materials.
