Description

The HOMES - Housing First Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Homelessness
Initiatives and the overall direction of the Director of Program Development and Innovative Housing
Programs and is responsible for the supervision of staff and the day-to-day operation of individual and group
services. The HOMES-Housing First Supervisor will take the lead in the planning, implementation and
evaluation of HOMES - Housing First services.
Qualifications:
    Educational requirements include post-secondary education in the human services field (i.e. Social Work, Human Justice, Psychiatric Nursing, Health and Kinesiology)
    A minimum of five years experience in working with individuals with complex needs
    Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
    Excellent writing, assessment, research skills, and strong computer literacy skills
    Knowledge and understanding of systems, supports, and available community resources for the successful delivery of services for persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
    Knowledge of Housing First, homelessness, and the factors associated with it
    Strong clinical skills related to addictions, mental health and work with individuals with a disability
    Strong organizational skills
    Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and have daily access to a reliable vehicle to transport clients and execute daily duties
    Hours of work Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00; flex time/on-call time required.
    Annual salary: $55,307 to $62,712 depending on education and experience, plus benefits
