Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. Recognized under provincial legislation, the Institute has been conferred authority to grant certificates and diplomas. SIIT welcomes over 2400 students into our urban and community programs annually as well as serving over 6000 clients through our eight Career Centres across the province. Instructors report directly to their applicable Dean/Coordinator and are located across the province of Saskatchewan in various educational settings. The incumbent instructs SIIT students in the classroom, laboratory or shop environments and assists during consultation hours.
As the educational leader in the classroom, Instructors will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula with the purpose of promoting student success. Working collaboratively as a team of educational professionals, Instructors will demonstrate a strong commitment to create and maintain a creative and positive learning environment at SIIT.
The incumbent will be required to plan, organize and implement instructional activities which create a learning environment that guides and provides the greatest opportunity for student success.
