Description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President will work in strategic partnership with the other eHS executives, the Ministry of Health, other health agencies and executive government to ensure a sector-wide perspective is incorporated into the delivery of a diverse range of programs and services.  The Executive Team uses a First Team approach to leading the organization and decision-making.   Some key areas of responsibility include:
  participating as a member of the Executive Team by contributing to strategic and leadership priorities and implementation of the health sector initiatives;
  leading, directing, coordinating and developing recommendations with respect to all fiscal strategies, procurement and contract management, legal and insurance advice and facilities management;
  providing financial management expertise to effectively lead and report on eHealths budget cashflow and forecast position that allows for timely decision making;
  building and maintaining financial integrity that allows for accurate and timely decisions through collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Saskatchewan Health Authority and other key partners in the healthcare sector to readily adapt to changing sector priorities;
  leading all financial results which includes controls, year-end financial strategies, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily accounting, legal authority, expenditure and revenue management;
  participating at an executive level with sector planning, strategic planning, enterprise risk management, records and retention and privacy and FOIPA legislation;

Background and Competency Requirements

This opportunity is for experienced senior executives with an exceptional history of achieving results in collaborative environments, ideally within the field of public policy development and/or public financial management, preferably with an accounting background.
