Description

Gabriel Housing Corporation of Regina incorporated in 1981 provides safe and affordable housing to the Metis community of Regina. Our portfolio of 370 doors provides family units (two, three, or four bedroom houses) senior units, apartments, fourplexes and duplexes. The Corporation also plans and budgets for yearly maintenance and tenant services to ensure that our housing units remain well maintained and affordable and that the tenants experience with us is both positive and enjoyable.  The Corporation also has a market rental subsidiary corporation that is wholly owned and operated by Gabriel Housing Corporation.  The General Manager is appointed by and reports to the Board of Directors and is accountable to the Board but is not a member of the Board.  

Role
The General Manager provides strategic direction and leadership in managing the operations of the Corporation in accordance with the strategies, plans and policies approved by the Board. The General Manager leads the implementation of corporate strategies, plans and programs that support the provincial housing policy framework, mandate of the organization, direction of the Board, expectations of the shareholders and needs of partners and clients.

The ideal candidate will have at a minimum 3-5 years experience in the field. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.

Preference will be given to Metis/Aboriginal candidates who self-declare.
