Description

The Project Supervisor will coordinate major projects in OlySky Facilities with a focus on Feed Mills.  The Project Supervisor will work within the projects and maintenance team on all project phases from initial design/budget to pricing, execution, and final commissioning.  Project scales vary from major repairs/improvements, to expansion and new builds.

This position will be based out of head office in Humboldt with travel to Olymel sites as required.

Responsibilities include:
Work within the project team to scope, price, and execute major projects
Recognize/understand larger company strategies, and work with the operations team to prioritize projects to suit
Liaze with operations, project, and maintenance teams to develop project goals and scope
Assist in tendering projects and developing approval packages detailing the merits and costs of projects
Provide required administrative duties including project budgets, work schedules, documentation, etc.
Coordinate supplies, equipment, and contractors to effectively execute projects
Troubleshoot problems, provide support to the team and maintain deadlines
Attend and conduct project start-up and progress meetings as required
Participate in long term project planning, progress meetings, and developing budgets
Attend centrally organized training programs
Project duties inside and outside of the facilities as required

Experience Required:
Trade ticket or equivalent years of experience in trades (Millwright, Electrical, Mechanical, Carpentry)
Previous experience in a feed mill, or grain elevator/terminal would be an asset.
Strong problem solving skills
Able to read and analyze blueprints
Strong interpersonal skills required to work with others and develop working relationships
Strong organizational skills and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Safety conscious, and self-starter
Effective time management skills and a good attitude
Hold a valid drivers license
