The Material Handler- Warehouse is responsible for moving goods from the receiving area to the appropriate shelf locations as dictated by the warehouse layout to avoid lost or misplaced items. The Material Handler must be capable of repetitive heavy lifting and able to operate any necessary equipment, e.g. picker truck, forklift, etc. Inventory management is an essential function for this position.Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Education/Experience
Grade 12

PME training an asset

Accountabilities
Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment in warehouse and yard
Pick material from warehouse for production orders, and ensure they are high quality materials and count is accurate
Perform other handling duties
Work Conditions
Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computer, scanners and peripherals
Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. may be required
Work is performed in a combination of environments and weather conditions
This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils
