Description

R & F Livestock Inc. is a large mixed farming operation located near Cudworth, Saskatchewan.

Job Duties:
-ensuring dairy cows are milked at correct intervals by reviewing the robot report and fetching cows listed on the report
-recordkeeping of animal health using computer software and manual paper based methods
-feeding dairy cattle; milking herd, dry cows, young stock and calves on milk
-cleaning and maintenance of two GEA robotic milkers
-general maintenance of dairy barn water system
-cleaning water troughs
-cleaning and maintenance of dairy barn freestalls, pens and treatment area
-bedding of stalls, pens, corrals/shelters and hutches where cattle are housed
-filling and monitoring of footbath as required
-feeding cattle formulated rations and hay
-operating equipment; tractor with attached mixer wagon, loader and skidsteer
-checking equipment daily for proper operation and reporting issues
-greasing tractor and mixer wagon
-general maintenance to ensure facility doors, pens and gates operate correctly
-removing manure, mud, snow, and ice from equipment, doors and pen access areas
Job Requirements:
-Split shift
-Cattle experience a must, willing to train the right person
-Wages based on experience
