Job Order Detail

Description

As a Steel Erector at Baydo you will but are not limited to:
1.    Reading blueprints and information for daily work planning
2.    Assist in Erecting Structural steel, installing Steel angle, install of steel assemblies
3.    Assist in bolt-up and or welding of metal connections
4.    Assist in Fabricating, Splicing, Cutting materials
5.    Assist in erecting scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
6.    Perform other related duties as assigned
7.    Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Manager or Human Resources
To be successful candidate at Baydo, you will have the following qualifications:
    1-3 years experience in the Steel Install & Welding trade
    Hold valid Training certificates. (an asset but not required)
    Valid Drivers License (an asset but not required)
    Safety Training (Fall protection, Power Mobile Equipment, Rigging, etc.) (an asset but not required)
    Knowledge of all manner of construction tools and how to operate them.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    The position lifts heavy objects, walk and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
     The position requires good manual dexterity and coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
