Duties:
Work closely with the administration to provide learning resources, numeracy programming, curricula and distribute resources equitably amongst schools
Demonstrate effective planning, management and oversight of administration
In-depth knowledge about educational statutes, LLRIB policies and administrative procedures
Demonstrate ability to provide leadership in the area of program and evaluation, personnel supervision and curriculum support to assigned schools
Develop and implement short and long-term range plans for curriculum, instructional evaluation, and improvements
Foster effective communication with school Principals regarding all programming for student success;
Coordinate and organize in-service needs as indicated by the requests and needs around numeracy and technology
Be aware of demographics and socioeconomics in all communities
Promote collaboration and communication between communities and schools
Develop strategic performance metrics and targets that are consistent withLLRIBgoals
Requirements
A minimum of Bachelor of Education degree. Candidates with Master of Education shall be preferred
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, preferably with some experience in instructional leadership
Strong elementary and/or secondary school administrator experience
Knowledge & understanding of school board policies, compliance regulations, appropriate legislation
Excellent verbal, written communication, and education technology skills
A commitment to respecting First Nations territory, history, ways of knowing, culture and language, truth and reconciliation and to understanding the unique strengths and challenges our students bring
Ability to speak Cree language would be an asset
Excellent negotiation and mediation skills
Ability to travel to all LLRIB schools in fulfilling duties
