Seeking an individual with willingness to learn and good work ethic.
Mixed sheep/grain operation.
Farm 6500 acres cash crop.
Lamb 7000 ewes.
All lambs finished on-farm.
Lambing takes place end of November-April.
Seeding is end of April-June.
Shearing is second week of June.
Silaging in July.
Harvest is typically mid-end of August until early October (weather dependent).
Duties would include basic animal husbandry as well as operating of field equipment.
There will be Opportunities for time-off during the summer, after harvest, and over holidays.
Wage will be within regional median and depend on experience with opportunities for wage increase based on job performance.
Accommodations are available 1.5 miles from main farm site.
