Description

Job Summary:

This position supports the delivery of corporate communications and marketing through demonstrated excellence in the development and management of communication needs.

Select job duties include:

- Advances strategic and operational objectives by managing corporate communications and marketing.  
- Designs, delivers communication activities including; written and online communications, marketing plans and event planning.
- Works with stakeholders to identify communication needs, marketing advice and planning, including identifying channels, tactics and appropriate methods of communications and marketing
- Provides consultation on communication needs.
- Assumes responsibility for consistency between corporate messaging, corporate standards and information for all project deliverables.
- Develops communication and marketing plans to promote campaigns
- Develops content and manages a variety of communications and social media and digital/online channels.
- Responsible to create and manage budget information for communication, marketing campaigns and projects.
- Develop and adhere to communication and marketing /content management practices and policies.


Qualifications:

Four (4) years post-secondary education with a focus in communications, marketing or journalism with five (5) years of experience in corporate communications demonstrating the ability to do the following:

- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate communications theory and practice
- Demonstrated knowledge of communications production processes related to print, media, events and internet
- Communications, marketing and event planning and management
- Ability to research, develop content and create effective messaging
- Develop and execute on multiple projects simultaneously
