Description

This position provides a complex range of nursing/counselling services including screening, triage, assessment, treatment, case coordination and harm reduction services to clients of BRT6HC who require addictions support. They are responsible for working collaboratively with the case manager ensuring the health of clients of BRT6HC addictions program and the provision of related mental, physical health support, as well as harm reduction services.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing
* Registered Nurse in good standing (or eligible to become registered) with College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
* Experience working in the field of addictions and/or mental health
* Demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues facing First Nations people
* Good understanding harm reduction principles and practices
* Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
* Understand trauma and violence informed services
* Willingness to travel and possession of a valid Class 5 drivers license, work flexible hours, possibility of some evenings and some weekends
* Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.   Knowledge of Plains Cree Language is a definite asset.
* Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector
* Ability to work with Microsoft word and learn electronic medical system
