Description

Will work in collaboration with the Community Health Nurses in our BATC Communities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and report to BATC Nursing supervisor. Actively participate in pandemic response and emergency preparedness planning and operations (if so needed) participate in program planning and community initiatives. Advocate for clients and communities in accessing relevant services to support their well-being. Responsible for CHN oversight, including clinical performance and evaluation of clinical knowledge, workflow, and system skills. Raise awareness that promotes individual growth and collective improvements in care. Attend meetings in the agency and outside the agency as required. Attend education in the agency and outside the agency as required. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Current registration with the CRNS
Knowledge regarding First Nations health and social issues
Experience in community/public health nursing is an asset
Knowledge regarding cultural competency in professional nursing practice
Extensive knowledge and experience working with computer software applications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Valid Driver's License and clean driver's abstract
Ability to travel within First Nations Communities
Speak Cree or Saulteaux an asset

Wage/Salary -$55/hr.
