Description

The Facilities Maintenance Manager will have the advanced technical and mechanical skills, and the knowledge to oversee efficient operations of the arena. They will coordinate and oversee the year-round operations of Communiskate with a solid operational and maintenance program. All mechanical components that make Communiskate function and operate, including equipment, must be in top working order and be well-maintained.
Summary of Responsibilities
Ensuring that the facility is operating properly and well maintained.
Overseeing the maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, ice plant, generator, boilers, etc.
Manage relationships with contractors.
Maintain the Zamboni, all facility equipment, tools, and supplies.
Develop and maintain a facility management program.
Ensuring and overseeing all cleaning duties and tasks are conducted and recorded.
Ensuring that maintenance standards are adhered to by staff and contractors.
Prepare and complete action plans for approved projects.
Custodial maintenance including a variety of tasks such as cleaning dressing rooms, stands, bathrooms, multi-purpose rooms, and all public areas, replenishing supplies, and wash floors as required.
Facility maintenance including a variety of tasks such as changing lights, painting, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, and grounds upkeep.
Required to perform duties in Pro-shop.
Previous extended experience managing/operating a recreational facility.
Ice maintenance and resurfacing.
Assist in the delivery of services in the arena facility to support the user groups and ensure the arena facility is properly maintained to provide a safe environment to the user groups and minimize user group inconvenience.
Required to perform duties in Pro-shop, which include, but not limited to, sharpening of skates, sales of goods and maintaining a clean area and equipment.
