Description

This leader supervises, schedules, and co-ordinate the activities of workers that may be engaged in a trade including Welders, Maintenance, Machinists, Warehouse Operators, and Finishers.  May also supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and laborers.  They work closely with the Plant Manager in order to make the best use of the manpower, equipment (overall equipment effectiveness) and resources that they have been entrusted with.  
Daily:
- Hold a daily core team meeting and daily advance each of the Top 10 Strategies with your team.  Engage them and motivate them with the Top 10 values, goals and strategies.
- Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.  This could include working on better job methods, job instructions and job relations with your direct reports and other leaders.
- Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed.  This includes reporting daily on any direct report injuries, and working with the team to actively engage in eliminating occurrences and increasing production.  
- Review the work order schedule (Foremans Dispatch Report) and each project (work orders and T-Cards activities) as required to be completed each day.   Review daily records for team and monitor attendance, and unplanned absences.  Establish methods to meet and exceed work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments using team work.

Weekly:
- Build job breakdown sheets for each repeating task that your team is required to do.  Identify Steps for each task, Key Points for each step and Reasons for each Key Point.  Support them in keeping it simple.  
- Read, interpret and train out all relevant original equipment manufacturer materials to ensure that team members understand how to maintain equipment to original standards. Train or arrange for training for each team member.
