The Saskatchewan Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre (SBOIC) is looking to hire student(s) to fill a full time summer position. Duties will include, but are not limited to the care, feeding and handling of live owls. Leading guided tours of the Centre to the public as well as giving educational presentations on an out-reach basis. There will also be general office duties; answering telephones, taking appointments, handling cash, stocking gift store items, and computer work. General cleaning and some light ground maintenance (mowing grass, weeding, etc.)are also required in this position. Must be able to work weekends.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, and they must be returning to school in the fall. Preference will be given to those applicants with a background or interest in biology, natural resources, or education. Only successful candidates will be contacted for an interview. A criminal background check must be performed prior to starting the position.
