Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking one (1) highly motivated individual for the position of Fire and Emergency Services Technician in the Technical Services Department.  Reporting to the Director of Tech Services, the Fire and Emergency Services Technician will be responsible for the following duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and schedules of YTC.


Duties but not limited to:

    Examine all buildings to detect fire hazards and ensure that fire codes are being met;
    Perform installation of safety equipment (smoke detectors/CO and fire extinguishers), fire inspections, assist with investigations, education and training;
    Assist in the development of fire department resources, such as personnel and equipment
    Plan, implement and evaluate fire department training and prevention programs
    Able to assist in emergencies on the notification of the Emergency Management Coordinator.
    Other duties as assigned.
