Job Summary: The Research & Development Test Technician will apply theory and principles of mechanical engineering to modify, develop, test, or calibrate machinery and equipment under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Our R&D Test Technician will communicate closely with the Engineering Department, Research & Development Department as well as the Quality Department.
Mechanical Responsibilities:
Perform preventative, and predictive maintenance on R&D equipment; including but not limited to: forklift, and tractors
Update, and change all necessary mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work to build prototypes and instrumentation
Experience and Technical Skills Required:
Ability to operate mechanical measurement/test equipment and prototype tool/fixturing is essential.
Mechanical aptitude required
Ability to read blue prints will be considered an asset; applied work experience in doing so is strongly preferred.
Fork Lift and/or Overhead Crane Operator Licences will be considered an asset but is not required; in house on-site training will be provided to those who require it
