Description

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced early childhood educator to join our team at West Ridge Childcare Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, developing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, and maintaining effective communication with parents.

Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education. If you do not have any education, must be willing to take classes towards ECE level I once employed
- MUST HAVE: Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
- MUST HAVE: Current Clear Criminal Record Check, Clear Criminal Occurrence Security Check, & Clear Vulnerable Sector Verification within the last 3 months prior to interview


Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for children
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
- Ensure a clean and organized classroom environment
- Maintain ratio and ensure children are always supervised

Skills and Competencies:
- Passion for working with young children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Hourly wage range of $14-$27.50 per hour, depending on qualifications
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, closed all Statutory Holidays
- Benefits and paid time off after probation period
