Description

REACH (Regina Education and Action on Community Hunger) is a charitable, non-profit organization committed to supporting independence through accessible, affordable, and nutritious food options and programs in our community.  We do this through several programs including the Good Food Box, Family Basket, Frozen Meals, Mobile Stores, and education programming.

We are seeking a Delivery Driver to work with staff and volunteers to pack and deliver healthy food to organizations and homes across Regina in our cargo van and minivan.  This is a part time role on Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Additional hours will be available when other staff are unavailable.

Duties include:

Delivery and pick up of boxes and meals to depots and customers homes.
Assisting with packing boxes and meals as well as unloading and storing food items.
Receiving payment from customers.
Working with and supporting volunteers.
Maintaining accurate records of operational activities.
Completing routine maintenance checks on equipment and vehicles.
Substituting as mobile store cashier when needed.
Performing other related tasks and duties as directed.

Qualifications and Requirements

Grade 12 diploma or GED.
Excellent oral communication.
Good interpersonal and math skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform other common physical labour.
A valid drivers licence and acceptable drivers abstract.
A background check free of criminal convictions related to violence, sexual offences, or fraud.
