Description

Grain Millers is one of North America's premier Oat Milling companies that supplies customers across Canada, U.S.A and Worldwide. We are hiring a Quality Control technician for our Yorkton plant. You are required to work 12-hr Modified Shift schedule, which requires you to work both Nights and weekends shifts.
The Quality Control technician will be responsible for but not limited to preparing samples and conduct Laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance of oats and finished products, review and analyze data being immediately responsive to out of spec product, Data entry of analysis results, conduct vessel inspections, assist in customer enquiries, preparation of chemical solutions and any other duties as required.
You will also be required to assist with internal and external audits and customer visits and inspections. You are also required to manage and organize control documentation and generate any applicable documents/certificates.
Qualifications:
    Minimum Grade 12 Diploma with education or experience in food processing and/or a food lab environment.
    Familiar with cereal grains and their products
    Must possess a confident knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety principles.
    Must have the ability to detect visually or by odour, off-spec product such as colour, shape and/or size.
    Proficient in computer applications.
    Highly organized, detailed oriented and strong communication skills.
    The ideal candidates will have no allergies to grain or dust.
    Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
