Truck driver supervisor Job Description Template
As a truck driver supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing a team of drivers and ensuring that they meet delivery schedules and comply with safety regulations. You'll also need to maintain records and communicate with clients and vendors. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
Ensure the timely and safe delivery of goods to the destination
Supervise and manage a team of truck drivers, including hiring, training, and setting work schedules
Create and implement operational procedures to ensure efficiency and productivity of the team
Monitor and maintain the company's fleet of trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards
Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, warehouse, and customer service to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including hours of service and transportation laws
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the team to enhance their skills and knowledge
Prepare and analyze reports on the team's performance and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience as a truck driver
Proven experience as a truck driver supervisor or a similar role
Ability to manage a team of truck drivers effectively
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards
Ability to coordinate and schedule deliveries to meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to maintain accurate records and reports of deliveries and truck maintenance activities
