Description

IEI searching for Production Welders/ Operators to join our team for full-time positions. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of Manufacturing, Fabrication, and Welding tasks. The candidates shall be highly motivated, quality-driven, and experienced working in various types of Construction Projects, industrial, and structural steel industries, with minimum supervision while promoting a safe work environment. This position is based on a standard 40-hour work week with added overtime as required. We offer employment at competitive wages for multiple projects located in Saskatchewan.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Operate brazing and soldering equipment
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.

Qualifications and Skills:
ASME / CWB certified with one year of previous construction project experience or Welding experience in a related field
Experience with SAW, FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW  (required for all positions)
Be in good health and physically fit and able to work outdoors in the winter
Previous experience working with hand and power tools.
Able to work at heights and balance on platforms, scaffolds, decks etc.
Able to work alone, or as part of a team and must be willing to relocate
Able to regularly lift and move 30pound objects during a shift.
Must be available to work overtime hours, evenings, weekends, and possible night shifts.
