Description

The opportunity
Execute all export shipping documentation by preparing, coordinating, signing and issuing final documents in accordance with contract terms and in a timely manner. This includes issuing the invoice, bills of lading, certificate of origin, customs documents, marine insurance and other documents as required.
Instruct and coordinate the completion of customer documents in collaboration with independent surveyors, customs agents and third-party industry providers.
Distribute export documents to all appropriate parties including owners, brokers, charterers, masters, agents, receivers and principles within country customs requirements and deadlines.
Build knowledge through collaborating with cross-functional departments including Marketing, Operations, Legal and Finance to ensure accurate and efficient processing of shipping documents.
Arrange couriers and delivery services in a timely manner to ensure the customer has everything required to clear customs and pick up their product.
Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers and responds to requests.

You have
Diploma or Certificate in Administration, Export Documentation or International Trade.
Minimum two years experience in a related field.
Knowledge of export documentation, logistics, letters of credit, shipping industry practices and previous experience in customer service would be considered an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

You bring
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Strong work ethic, with a high attention to detail, and ability to work within tight deadlines.
Ability to organize workloads, set priorities, problem solve and complete assignments efficiently in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
Strong computer skills and experience with Adobe is an asset.
