Description

SCH Maintenance Services Ltd is currently seeking Labourers. This is a seasonal position starting May 2024 until tentatively end of October.

What is the role?
The Labourer is part of a dedicated crew responsible for providing maintenance services to the Regina Bypass. Operations include grass trimming, debris pickup, and traffic accommodation.
- Works under the Shift Supervisor to complete work required to meet expectations
- Ability to identify the work that needs to be done and prioritize it in accordance with the Shift Supervisors decisions
- Ensures timely accurate communication of all information and completion of all required documentation
- Be courteous, address members of the public or coworkers in a professional manner
- Complies with and contributes to the improvement of the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner; identifies maintenance required
- Other duties as required

What do we value?
- Possess a Class 5 drivers license with a clean driver's abstract
- Physically able to complete labor work
- Experience related to highway maintenance is an asset but not required
- Ability to work continuously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Ability to work with a smartphone using specific apps for work reports
- Participates with the team and promotes a positive attitude
- Hours range as the summer progresses; Start at 7:00am or 6:00am
