The Town of La Ronge is seeking a full-time permanent mechanic who will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, servicing and repairing all Town motorized and non-motorized equipment and vehicles and ensuring such items are in good working order and in safe operating condition in compliance with all applicable laws, policies and regulations; ordering parts and maintaining inventory; and preparing detailed records of all servicing, repairs and safety inspections, including reporting mechanical conditions and/or deficiencies to the Manager of Public Works. This position may also require the operation of heavy-duty equipment from time to time. Qualifications for the position include: high school diploma or GED; a valid class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license; standard first aid and CPR certification; WHMIS; and physically aptitude and ability to lift up to 50lbs. Experience with heavy equipment and/or air brake endorsement is considered an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with a journeyman automotive technician certification and/or a minimum of 3 years experience. This position requires work in various weathe
