Prairie Roots Early Learning Centre Inc. is a newly established licensed childcare facility preparing to open in Humboldt, and we are taking applications for a Daycare Director to lead our centre!

The Daycare Director reports to the Board of Directors. We are looking to hire a qualified, enthusiastic individual to manage our day-to-day operations and be responsible for the successful leadership and overall management of the organization, while following the Mission, Vision and Values of the centre.

The successful applicant will be responsible for enhancing the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development through planning, organizing and implementing educational programming that nurtures a positive learning environment inclusive to all individuals.

OBJECTIVE:
- To ensure the provision of a quality child care service which fulfills the philosophy of the centre.
- To ensure that the centre operates in compliance with The Child Care Act, 2014 and The Child Care Regulations, 2015.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Minimum requirement of a two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent  ECE Level III
- First Aid Certification, CPR Level C
- Criminal Record Check
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Food Safe Certification required upon start date
- Understanding of The Child Care Regulations, 2015 and The Child Care Act, 2014

EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience working in an early learning or child care setting.
- Experience working in a management role is considered an asset.
- Experience working with non-profit Board of Directors is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills, oral and written.
- Strong computer and software skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
