Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining our machines to ensure they are in good, safe working order for continuous production
Performing preventative maintenance as required to keep down time to a minimum and ensure there is an adequate supply of spares to replace broken or worn out machine parts
Shut down the machines post-production and ensure everything is ready for the Sanitation Crew
Start up the machines pre-production and ensure everything is ready for the day shift start
The successful candidates will possess the following competencies and experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required
A Millwright or Industrial Electrician license/certification or actively enrolled in an apprenticeship program is preferred but not required.
Several years maintenance experience servicing and maintaining processing and production environment would be ideal
Strong mechanical aptitude and skill at troubleshooting machinery
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision
Equipment Operators Certification to operate the forklift and pallet jack is an asset, but we can train
Good communication skills with the ability to work well with everyone on the production team
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills in order to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Demonstrated sense of urgency in reacting quickly to problems as they arise to minimize production down time
Strong health & safety orientation (must work in compliance with company and legal safety requirements)
Ability to tig/stick weld is considered an asset

4 days per week 10 hours shifts
