Description

Reporting to the Construction Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
Deliver outstanding guest service at all points of contact and through various communication channels
Assist skilled trades persons in performing construction activities at residential, commercial, and agricultural construction sites
Load and unload materials, move materials to work areas
Assist with erecting and dismantling of forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades
Operate and maintain various power tools; tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps
Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
Follow company policies and procedures related to safety and asset protection
Perform all other duties as assigned

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service:
You have knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health & Safety)
You have an eye for quality control/assurance and safety from start to finish
You are able to read and interpret blueprints and have knowledge of building codes and regulations
You must be physically fit, willing to learn, and are driven to excel in your position
You must have a valid Class 5 drivers license
You are willing to obtain the required safety tickets; valid first aid, Fall protection, Aerial lift, and Telehandler certification is an asset
A carpentry certificate or any of the levels of carpentry technical/apprenticeship process or provincial Journeyperson status is an asset
You are well organized and able to work independently and with supervision
You can lift and load and carry products
