Description

The Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires an Information Support Specialist to join our Corporate Services Division team. The position will commence as soon as possible based on the availability of the successful candidate and the tentative location is one of the following site options:  Sask DLC Saskatoon Campus, Regina Administrative Office, or Kenaston Head Office.
Primary Responsibilities:
Becoming fully knowledgeable with Sask DLC data collection and usage methods and processes, SIS and related technologies and act as a resource person (subject matter expert) for all users.
Understand various systems integrations with the SIS to provide troubleshooting support to end-users across various administrative and academic units.
Understand and document business requirements and processes, develop training materials and deliver training to end-users where required.
Assist with data conversion efforts, (cleansing, data verification, etc.), and coordination of required student data for accurate and timely transfers to the provincial Student Data System (SDS) within the parameters set by the Ministry of Education.
Ensure the SIS structure and role security is configured for all users (i.e. courses are available as appropriate, user accounts are created for applicable staff, schedule structure is set up, etc.).
Assist with processing student enrolments during peak periods in the applicable software solutions.
Understand year end procedures in relation to student information and  assisting in year-end rollover data needs.
Provide regular and custom reports for Sask DLC and external stakeholders.
