Description

DISCOVER SASKATOON (not Tourism Saskatchewan as stated) is looking for seasonal team members to promote Saskatoon and provide exceptional service to all visitors and residents by telling the story of our destination and increasing awareness of our Partners and Members in order to drive visitation and encourage longer stays and return visits.

What you will do:
Provide support and information at our Visitor Centre and local sites, attractions, experiences, and accommodations with inquiries about Saskatoon and area, including our Members and Partners, accommodations, events, experiences, attractions, geography, transportation, and other tourism related businesses and services
Selling merchandise and completing daily cash reconciliation
Supporting vital daily business operations
Supporting and providing operational coverage for Discover Saskatoon, as required
Supporting wider Discover Saskatoon events and organizational activities, as required
Completing other tasks and special projects, as assigned

Desired Experience & Skills
Ability to provide exceptional service with a pro-active, positive, can-do attitude
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable (or a displayed willingness to learn) about Saskatoon and area
Cash handling and sales skills
Working knowledge of MS Office and Windows; EPOS systems (ie. Square), and Database systems (ie. CRM)
A valid (class 5) drivers license and clean driving record
Criminal Record Check
An energetic professional with a respectful and courteous manner
Excellent communication and organizational skills
A motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to multi-task effectively
An adventurous spirit, with a willingness to learn new skills and try new experiences
