Description

As the Licensing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in administering various licensing programs, including business, vehicle for hire, and animal licences, among others. Your responsibilities encompass issuing, revoking, and canceling licences, conducting thorough inspections and investigations, and providing exemplary customer service while ensuring compliance with municipal bylaws and provincial regulations. Your duties will involve responding to inquiries and service requests, issuing photo identification and licences, conducting inspections including vehicles for hire and businesses, and documenting outcomes meticulously. Additionally, you will investigate complaints and violations, process licence applications and cancellations, and provide technical advice on relevant regulations and procedures. With a focus on both proactive enforcement and customer service, you will collect fees and fines, initiate prosecutions when necessary, and represent the municipality in court proceedings. This position is the main point of contact for outreach and enforcement of The Body Rub Establishment Licensing Bylaw.
