Applications are now being accepted for Permanent Full Time Principal at Newmark Colony School.

Newmark Colony School

Newmark Hutterite Colony near Wilkie, Saskatchewan, was founded in 2020 as a division from the Rockport Hutterite Colony (Magrath, Alberta, Canada). In 2020 Newmark Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony. This is a new school in Living Sky School Division opening June 10, 2024, with 11 students from Kindergarten to grade 8.

Principal  Permanent full time (1.00 FTE), commencing June 10, 2024.

Applicants are required to possess a Masters Degree in Educational Administration or be committed to completing post-graduate studies in an applicable field. Additionally, they must be eligible for or possess a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate. Experience in areas of Indigenous Education would be considered an asset.

Candidates will be strong at building relationships with staff, students and their families and our community. Individuals will believe in the importance of having trauma-informed classrooms. Honouring Indigenous teachings and diversity to promote a culture of respect is important. Leadership experience around differentiation and interventions to meet the needs of each individual would be considered an asset. Living Sky School Division believes that school-based administrators play key roles in student success. It will be important for candidates to be able to:
