Description

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Southern Region, has an opportunity for a permanent full-time Facility Service Worker position located in Regina. The successful candidate will provide a variety of maintenance and will handle client service requests in assigned Government buildings including the Provincial and Regina Court Houses.

Under the direction of the Building Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Providing the day-to-day maintenance of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems;
- Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule on mechanical equipment;
- Performing daily cleaning and minor maintenance in the building;
- Ensuring that the sidewalks, roadways and parking lots are clear of ice and snow during the winter months to ensure the safety of clients and the public; and
- Performing assigned client requests.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of building operations and maintenance. You will have the ability to perform minor building repairs and maintenance, as well as inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair problems to restore operation.

The successful candidate must be in good physical condition to perform a variety of manual activities. You will be required to climb ladders and lift heavy objects. Candidates must possess a valid drivers license. A 5th Class Power Engineering ticket would be considered an asset for this position but is not required.
