Maintenance Foreman Wanted
Who Are We?
The Village of Buchanan is a rural community near Canora and Preeceville with a population of approx. 250. We are in a lovely agricultural area with a small grocery and hardware store, an insurance office, auto repair shops, tow service providers, and numerous home-based businesses. Despite our small size, we have paved streets and curb-side garbage pickup among other amenities. We have an active volunteer community with a Community Centre, skating/hockey rink and a curling rink. Children are bussed to nearby Canora for school.
The Village of Buchanan is currently seeking a Maintenance Foreman.  The successful candidate will supervise and manage all service areas including equipment maintenance and minor repair, facility maintenance, infrastructure, and waterworks.  
Who Are You?
    A team leader with experience supervising others, and gets along well with   ratepayers, staff, and council
    An organized person able to use computers, the internet, and paper records
    Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and are able to operate a variety of equipment from Bobcats to graders
    Someone who has safety training or water certification, or is willing to take this training
    A handy person able to perform some equipment maintenance and repair, and take on the multitude of fix-it tasks that present themselves regularly  any knowledge of plumbing, mechanics, and/or construction will be valued
    Grade 12 graduate (preferred)
    A self-starter who knows to work within approved policies, procedures, Regulations, and specifications: experience working in a Municipal Government is an asset
    Flexible work arrangements may be considered for the right applicant.
    Must be able to legally work in Canada and reside in Canada
