The Flaman Group of Companies Grain Cleaning Division in Saskatoon, SK, is looking for a motivated and qualified Service Technician to join the team. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of equipment related to grain systems operations (Cleaners, Air systems, Dryers, Legs, Conveyance). This position involves troubleshooting, diagnostic repairs, installation of new equipment, and adherence to established guidelines for maintenance and assembly.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs on grain cleaning, storage, conveyance, and monitoring equipment, which includes electronics and electrical components.
Provide accurate assessments and perform necessary corrective actions
Installation & Assembly
Install new equipment and additions to existing systems
Ensue all units meet manufacturer and Flaman PDI requirements
Safety & Cleanliness
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for tools and equipment
Documentation & Communication
Complete work orders with detailed material records
Communicate effectively with supervisors, report difficulties, and submit required documentation promptly
Desired Qualifications & Traits
Journey Person Electrician or Instrumentation would be given preference or someone with equivalent experience
Strong understanding of grain cleaning equipment and related technologies an asset
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
