Description

Invites applications for the position of full-time Head Caretaker.  The successful candidate will be required to work 1.0 FTE or 40 hrs per week, performing general caretaking duties.   The Itinerant Head Caretaker has a designated home location but may be assigned to another location on a day-to-day basis as the division requires and may be required to act in the role of Head Caretaker or Assistant Caretaker. This CUPE position begins April 22, 2024.  The starting salary for this position is $21.76 per hour.  


Itinerant Head Caretakers work closely with school staff to maintain the school building to the highest standards possible.

The successful applicants will:
Hold a current Firemans Certificate;
Have training and/or experience in the caretaker field;
Hold a current WHMIS certificate;
Hold a valid SK drivers licence;
Have access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to drive in inclement weather;
Place a high premium on safety at all times;
Demonstrate a caring and supportive attitude toward children;

Value communication and collaborative relationships;
Be committed to being flexible in the workplace;
Be committed to positive working relationships.

WHMIS training or a willingness to obtain this training is a requirement of obtaining this position.
