GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will report directly to the FNHOO Associate Ombudsperson and be supervised by the Health Analyst.
Responsible for assisting and providing support to the Associate Ombudsperson and Health Analysts. Provides for effective and efficient communication between the clients and the Analysts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with client intake processes.
Transcription of taped recordings, handwritten or typed documentation.
Maintain medical records in a secure and confidential area.
Preparation of correspondence, including proofreading.
Contacting clients and booking meetings
Assist the Analysts with client evaluation follow-up.
Filing, typing, photocopying, faxing, emails.
Keep lists, databases, calendars, mailing labels, etc. updated and current.
Data collection and tracking of incoming confidential information.
Research: work with databases and data, researching First Nations systemic health care issues
Preparation of meeting information, recording, transcribing, and distribution of minutes.
Prepare correspondence on follow-up required from meetings
Develop package for clients and meetings.
Occasional travel in Saskatchewan, assisting with office and promotional opportunities (ie. Tradeshows and treaty days).
Establish and maintain an effective and efficient data information system
General Daily Operations
Answering calls/message taking, and directing inquiries. Professional presentation and communications
Typing, photocopying, email
Filing, storing and protecting all primary and confidential documents.
Ensuring reports are updated for circulation.
Respond to requests for information.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Enrolled full-time in a post secondary program and returning in Fall 2024. Preferably social work, nursing, and/or mental health.
A Medical Terminology Certificate would be an asset.
Customer service-related training and/or experience with the general public and office environments.
