Description

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for general and specialized respiratory care in the assigned areas, as well as
assisting with special projects and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment. The incumbent will promote the delivery of patient centred care through the application of
professional standards. The position will have specific responsibilities related to patient needs and clinical knowledge .

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an education program approved by the Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapists (SCRT) at a Respiratory Therapy school accredited by the Council on
Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy Education in Canada, or a program deemed equivalent by the SCRT . Successful completion of a Respiratory Therapist registration
examination administered by the Canadian Board for Respiratory Care, or an examination deemed equivalent by the SCRT . A registered member in good standing with the SCRT
in accordance with the SCRT regulatory by-laws. Certification in BCLS. Certified Respiratory Educator preferred.
Experience:
One year of previous related clinical experience. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in a community setting. Experience in adult education an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Demonstrated knowledge, experience and/or training in all aspects of the position duties. Proven communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with others, as well as independently under pressure or in emergency situations. Demonstrated judgement skills, capable of taking initiative and flexible attitude. Proven ability to work
collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment. Demonstrated ability to accept and implement change.

Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, as required. Ability to travel throughout the Health Region. May require up to 3 months orientation. FACILITY:  PHC Services
