Description

We are seeking 3 dedicated and compassionate drivers to join our team as part of our SPIN Program. As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting nurses to rural communities, enabling them to provide vital healthcare services to underserved populations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent driving skills, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to assist with casework when required. This position involves extensive travel to small communities, often covering long distances which may require overnight stays.

Responsibilities:
Transportation and Logistics:
Safely transport nurses to and from rural communities, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
Plan routes and schedule trips efficiently to ensure timely arrival at each destination.
Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, ensuring regular maintenance and necessary repairs.
Support for Nurses:
Assist nurses in loading and unloading equipment and supplies as needed.
Collaborate with nurses to address any logistical challenges encountered during the transportation process.
Case Work Assistance:
Ability to problem solve and attend to questions and needs the nurses may have during their travels
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open lines of communication regarding scheduling changes,
emergencies, or any issues that may impact the transportation process.
Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of passengers
Stay updated on relevant regulations and laws pertaining to transportation
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver license with a clean driving record.
Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector
Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting.
Excellent driving skills, with focus on safety.
