Description

We are currently looking for casual employees to work at Haven Kids' House. Hours include both day and night shifts, as it is a 24-hour facility. Must be willing and able to work 12-hour day shifts and 12-hour night shifts. There is the possibility of full-time, permanent positions opening up to casual employees in the coming months. Must be able to work short notice shifts and night shifts.

Job duties include childcare for children newborn to age 12, intake procedures (paperwork, documentation, etc.), phone and interpersonal skills for our crisis line, community interactions (community agency interactions, and community donations), housework (cooking, cleaning), and other various jobs.

A general knowledge of community services and resources is a valuable asset. We value diversity in our workplace.

Former childcare experience and a harm-reduction mentality are necessary.  Position also requires applicant to be child focused and self-motivated to play and interact with the children.
